Meet Kelly
Classic Cues Pilates is led by Kelly Tacon, a third generation Classical Pilates instructor with over a decade of experience and advanced certification from some of the most respected institutions in the field.
Kelly completed Advanced Teacher Training in 2014 at re:AB Pilates in New York City, followed by Advanced Teacher Training in 2016 at The Pilates Workshop, a Licensed Teacher Training Studio of The Pilates Center of Boulder. She went on to complete the Masters Certification Program through The Pilates Center of Boulder in 2020, reflecting a deep commitment to excellence and authenticity in the Classical Pilates method.
Her teaching career has spanned major cities across the country, including New York City, San Francisco, Phoenix, and now Denver. Ongoing continuing education and professional development remain central to her practice, ensuring each client benefits from current research, refined technique, and evolving insight.
Kelly has worked with individuals from all walks of life and with a wide range of injuries and conditions, including joint replacements, spinal surgeries, head injuries, bunions, stenosis, spondylolisthesis, cancer, and more. This extensive experience has shaped a highly individualized, thoughtful, and compassionate approach to teaching. Every body is unique, and each program is designed to meet clients exactly where they are.
As a cancer survivor (sarcoma) who underwent a hip replacement in 2018, Kelly brings personal understanding to the rehabilitation and recovery process. She recognizes that returning to strength and confidence after injury—whether degenerative or traumatic—can be challenging and complex. Her own journey has reinforced the power of Pilates as a tool for healing, resilience, and lifelong movement.
Pilates has provided Kelly with the gift of health, mobility, and strength. Through Classic Cues Pilates, that gift is shared with clients around the country—supporting sustainable progress, empowered movement, and lasting well-being.
